What is happening now?

8x8 founder Jonny has been very active this past number of months pursuing the  busy life of professional beach volleyball in the FIVB world tour.  In November 2024 he partnered with two time Olympian and Canadian legend Sam Schachter.  The results have been amazing as the team has travelled all over the world including the Philippines (Nuvali),  Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, California, Vancouver, Denver, the Netherlands and,  most recently, to Montreal.  Part of being a professional is learning how to balance play, practice, nutrition, physiotherapy and all the “arranging” that goes with being on the road.  Playing in front of a home crowd in Canada is incredible when you realize so many Canadian fans are behind you!  8x8 is so proud to call Canada home!
